Legal
Terms of Service
The agreement between you and us when you use this site or buy one of our packages.
Last updated October 6, 2026
Draft for legal review. This text is a starting template and must be reviewed by a qualified lawyer in Canada and the United States before launch.
1. The service
Each package (the Idea Deep Dive, the Business Launch System and Launch Pro) includes the deliverables described on our What's included page at the time of your order. We record a snapshot of the package scope and price with each order; that snapshot governs your order.
2. Your responsibilities
- Provide accurate information and confirm every fact, credential, quote and claim before it is published.
- Hold the rights to any logos, photos, testimonials and materials you give us.
- Obtain any professional, regulatory or legal review that your profession or industry requires.
- Register your domain and accounts in your own name.
3. Timeline and revisions
Our estimated timeline is 7–10 business days from complete intake. Each main deliverable includes 2 revision rounds. Delays in providing information or approvals extend the timeline.
4. Approvals
Your website is published only after you approve a specific version. Your press release is submitted only after a separate approval of a specific version. An approval applies only to the version approved.
5. Payment
Prices are in US dollars for clients in the United States and Canadian dollars for clients in Canada, plus applicable taxes. Payment is processed by Stripe or PayPal. You may choose to pay over time with Klarna, Afterpay, Affirm or PayPal where offered; those plans are agreements between you and the provider, subject to their approval and terms, and we are paid in full by the provider. Work begins after payment is confirmed.
Our payment plans (Pay in 2 and Pay in 4)
- Payment plans are available for business purchases only. By choosing one you confirm you are buying for your business.
- The plan price is 10% more than the price if paid in full (rounded up to the next whole dollar). The amounts and dates of every payment are shown at checkout and recorded with your order. There are no other fees and no late fees.
- Pay in 2: the first payment at checkout and the second 30 days later. Pay in 4: the first payment at checkout and the rest every 2 weeks.
- You authorise us to charge the card you used at checkout (or a card you later save in your client portal) for each remaining payment on its date. We email you 3 days before each payment. You can update your card, or pay a payment early, at any time in your client portal.
- If a payment fails we tell you by email and retry it automatically up to three times over the following days. Your project continues while a payment is outstanding, but we may pause work on a project with a payment more than 14 days overdue until it is paid, and the full remaining balance becomes due if a payment is more than 30 days overdue.
- If your order is refunded or cancelled under these terms, the remaining payments are cancelled; refunds are based on the amount you have paid.
6. Cancellations and refunds
If you cancel before your intake is complete, you receive a full refund. After production starts, we refund the portion of the package covering deliverables we have not yet started. Once a release has been submitted for distribution, the distribution fee cannot be refunded — except that if your approved release is not published on news sites, we refund the announcement portion in full.
The Idea Deep Dive fee is credited in full toward any launch package within 30 days. It is non-refundable once the report has been delivered.
7. Media distribution
Press-release distribution to participating online outlets, including news websites, which may include network-affiliate websites. Specific placements depend on the distribution package and publisher acceptance. This service does not include independent editorial coverage. We do not guarantee placement on any specific outlet, or independent editorial coverage. If your approved release is not published on news sites, we refund the announcement portion of your order. “As Featured On” badges list only outlets where publication was verified. The distribution terms that apply are recorded with your order. See our Media Disclosure.
8. No guarantee of results
The Launch Score and Validation Report are assessments to support your decisions. They do not guarantee that your business will succeed, or any level of sales, leads, rankings or coverage.
9. Ownership
On full payment, you own the final website copy, release text and other written deliverables created for you, and you keep all rights to materials you supplied. We keep rights to our templates, tools and know-how, and grant you a perpetual licence to use them as part of your website. No monthly hosting fees. Your website is hosted at no ongoing cost — the only renewal is your domain name, paid directly to your registrar. You may download a complete copy of your website from your client portal at any time once it is paid in full.
10. Website hosting
We host your website at no monthly charge for as long as we offer hosting, and in any case for at least 3 years from the day it is first published. If we ever stop hosting websites, or change these hosting terms for existing clients, we will email you at least 90 days beforehand, give you a complete copy of your website, and help you point your domain to a new host.
Your domain name is registered in your name and renewed directly with your registrar, so it stays yours whatever happens to your hosting. Hosting covers keeping the published website online; changes to it after publication are not included, and we will quote for them if you ask.
We may suspend a website: if it contains unlawful, misleading or infringing material, malware or spam, or we receive a valid legal complaint about it; or, after at least 14 days' written notice, if a payment-plan payment is more than 30 days overdue. We restore it promptly once the problem is resolved.
You can leave at any time. Tell us and we will give you a final copy of your website and, once you have moved it, take it down from our hosting.
11. Confidentiality
We keep your intake, uploads and unpublished drafts confidential, except as needed to deliver the service through our providers.
12. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without limiting any consumer protection rights you have where you live.
14. Contact
Business Launch Authority (legal entity to be confirmed) · hello@businesslaunchauthority.com · [business mailing address to be added]
15. Reviews and examples of our work
After your package is delivered we ask for a review. Leaving one is optional and never affects your service, and we never offer anything in return. We show a review on our website only if you allow it, in the way you choose (named or anonymous), and we may shorten it for length (shown as “…”) but make no other change without your approval. You can withdraw that permission at any time from your client portal.
If you opt in, at intake or when you leave your review: We may use parts of your deliverables, with your business name and identifying details changed, as examples of our work. We replace your business name, people's names, contact details, address, website and social accounts, use a comparable region instead of your city, and remove photos of you and your premises. You can withdraw this consent at any time from your client portal, and we will remove the examples within 2 business days. We never use work from an order that was refunded or disputed.
